Sticky, sweet and finger-licking good! These chicken drumsticks are full of flavour and so easy to make.

  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 5 1x
  • Category: Chicken

Ingredients

Scale
For the chicken:
  • 1 kg chicken drumsticks
  • 1 tsp garlic granules
  • 1 tsp onion granules
  • 1 tsp crushed chilli flakes
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
For the glaze:
  • 120 ml barbecue sauce
  • 120 ml sweet chilli sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat your oven to 200℃. Line a large baking tray with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Pat the drumsticks dry with kitchen towel and transfer them to a large bowl.
  3. Season the drumsticks with salt and pepper and toss with your hands to coat. Add the garlic granules, onion granules, chilli flakes and smoked paprika and toss again to coat.
  4. Arrange the drumsticks in a single layer on the baking tray. Roast for 30 minutes, turning halfway through.
  5. Meanwhile, combine the barbecue sauce and sweet chilli sauce in a small bowl.
  6. Switch your oven to grill (high). Brush the drumsticks on one side with the glaze and grill on the top rack of your oven for 2 minutes. Flip the drumsticks over, brush with the glaze and grill for another 2 minutes. Repeat this process again on each side to build and caramelize the glaze onto the chicken. Serve and enjoy!
