The pear provides a yummy twist on the classic apple-cinnamon combo and together they make for a delicious, comforting smoothie. You’ll barely even notice the kale. Ingredients
Scale
- 30 g kale, chopped
- 1 apple, cored and cut into medium-sized chunks
- 1 pear, cored and cut into medium-sized chunks
- 2 tbsps honey (or agave nectar if vegan)
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 ground nutmeg
- 120 ml cold water
- ice cubes, to serve
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth. If it’s too thick for your liking, add some more water and blend until smooth. Serve with ice.
Substitutions and Alterations
- To make the smoothie sweeter: add more honey, agave nectar or sweetener of choice.
- To make it less sweet: add a little water or ice.
- Other bases: you can substitute the water for apple or pear juice (for added sweetness).
